Finishing off my artwork for the Herring Island Gallery. Visiting Herring Island is like going to a different world. The Island contains indigenous vegetation and provides important habitat for native fauna, particularly birds. Such areas are rare in the inner suburbs, and are a valuable ecological resource. Herring Island is also an important recreational space providing opportunities for nature study, passive recreation and adventure play.
I always look forward to having a little adventure through the meandering paths of the Sculpture park on my way to the Gallery.
